Your twenties are supposed to be full of life-changing experiences, right? Moving to a new city, trying to dress like an adult, trading vodka for red wine, meeting people you'll know for years to come...
Throw in breakups, moving back home, ever-increasing anxiety towards the state of our political system, and to top it off, losing an incredible friend before ever really getting to know them, you'd be forgiven for thinking this would be the type of record you bring out when you drop a pizza facedown on the floor and need an outlet (and a fork).
But it's not just that. These songs are there to remind you the love you hold for the people you can't be there for, how easy it is to love someone who wants to be there for the bad as well as the good times, and how much fun being an adult and ruining your own life/wallet can be.
This upcoming release is my attempt to pack those feelings and experiences into 47 minutes of emo and alt-rock, fuelled by both the positive and the negative thoughts that have rattled around in my head since graduation.
